I want AI to expand our ability to think, question, and act for ourselves.

There is value in shared knowledge. There is also value in the person who sees something differently, questions a comfortable assumption, or makes a connection that others have missed.

As we use more of the same intelligent systems, I keep returning to this question: how do we preserve room for independent judgment?

For me, a useful starting point is the ability to question an answer, understand its basis, and make a different choice. Those are qualities worth building into the future.
